Meet the Staff
At Blue Hills, it’s the people who make the difference. Our compassionate staff are dedicated to delivering the excellence in care that is the Harmony Recovery hallmark.

Allison Bernier, LICSW
Regional Executive Director
Allison is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience in the behavioral health and substance use field. During this time, Allison has had the opportunity to work with diverse ethnic, racial, and religious populations from all income strata in a variety of areas such as homes, schools, community, outpatient and hospitals.
Allison has had various roles such as Director of Care Integration for the Providence Center; Senior Director of Care Integration at Brockton Hospital; Vice President of the Central Community Health Partnership in Worcester; COO at Shattuck and Hospital for Behavioral Medicine before joining Harmony Recovery Group. Allison has been responsible for the development and implementation of countless programs for Behavioral Health and Substance Use. These programs integrated services to ensure that patients have access to comprehensive care that addresses all of their needs consistently and holistically.
Her roles have allowed her to build relationships with local and statewide organizations to learn more about their programs, engage them in conversations about clients’ needs, and educate them on the programs and services of the programs she executes. Additionally, she has been a spokesperson for various media outlets, including on-air interviews with local television. In 2016 she completed the National Council Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program with a focus on the LGBTQ community. Allison also presented a poster on “The Impact of Health Care Reform on a CBHC: Transition to an Accountable Entity” at the 2017 National Council of Behavioral Health Conference.
Allison is passionate about working within local communities and ensuring that they receive the services that are essential to live a successful life. She enjoys shopping, relaxing at the beach and spending time with her wife Melissa, dog Bentley and family.

Dr. Allen Weiner, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Weiner is board-certified in both Family and Addiction Medicine. He completed his MD at UNC-Chapel Hill, then attended his family practice residency in Rochester, NY, then moved to western MA. After 20 years in primary care, he changed his focus to addiction medicine. And now with 32 years in the medical field, Dr. Weiner brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to Blue Hills Recovery.
His work in medicine with BHR is grounded in the core value of seeing the whole person as they enter our doors. With compassion and empathy, he affirms the importance of meeting our patients where they are, without judgment, on their path to healing and for those who also deal with addiction, on their path to long-term sobriety.
And when he is not working, you’ll find him outdoors exploring nature, hiking, road biking, and cross-country skiing. He also finds joy in exploring nature photography.
